Docklow Manor - Charming Holiday Cottages in Herefordshire
Home     Woodlands holiday cottage

The rambling Victorian garden and grounds make Docklow Manor a wonderful place for a holiday. There are formal lawns, well-stocked herbaceous borders, a woodland area, a kitchen garden, an orchard and lots of benches on which to relax and take in the superb views. Docklow Manor stands at the end of a long private drive, safely away from the main road. Children are very welcome - we have 3 of our own – and there are goal nets and a trampoline in the garden, as well as a treehouse in the wood. Table tennis and table football are available by arrangement.

We have abundant species of mature trees, including two enormous Wellingtonia Redwoods, and varied wildlife, from buzzards and sparrowhawks to badgers and hedgehogs, and plenty of woodland to explore. The views west from Docklow Manor are wonderful. On a clear day you can easily see Hay Bluff and the Black Mountains in Wales, and the Sugar Loaf near Abergavenny. Take a glass of wine on a balmy summer's evening, claim the lovely old swing seat, and enjoy a sunset.
